Year 9 class explores Tea Tree Plaza
On 11 February, our year 9 class visited Tea Tree Plaza as part of their community access. Before setting off, the students researched the most suitable bus schedule and decided on how much time could they spend at the Plaza before returning to school before the end of the day. They then discussed about the different exciting things that can be done at the plaza and after a whole lot of ideas, few shops were selected.
The group left at 9:30am sharp on Thursday morning, walked to the bus stop and caught the 502 to Tea Tree Plaza. The bus journey was enjoyable, as we found another group from our school and we had some fun discussing different land marks and cars we were seeing on the way. As soon as we reached TTP, we had our recess and the kids had fun posing for some pictures.
We started exploring the Plaza from the students favourite shop - EB games. Their task was to find out EB stand for. Haydyn took the initiative and asked the salesperson and to our awe we found out it means Electronics Beauty. The students then explored Coles and Woolworths to compare pet food prices, brands and their health ratings. All the students have pets of their own and wanted to find out which is the most suitable brand for cats and dogs.
For lunch, the students feasted on pies, Subway, Indian food and Mexican food.
We then caught the bus back at 2:30pm with plenty of time for students to complete their reflections and wrap up a very enjoyable and fruitful day.
